Welcome to book corner
I mention in the 'about me' section that I love reading, the two genres that I enjoy the most are sci-fi/fantasy and popular science. Now the former of those probably isn't appropriate for this website, however as it is a science blog, I thought that I'd add a section for book reviews/recommendations on some popular science books. Both as an excuse to talk about books but also to give a bit of variety to the content.
As with the blog likely having a slight bias towards plant science posts, you can expect the books that I read/talk about to lean quite heavily towards the field of biology over other scientific disciplines. Not surprising as it is the field that I work in and where the majority of my interests lie but I will try to include a bit of variety. I don't intend on doing deep breakdowns of each book, as this section is supposed to contain slightly lighter content to balance out the science articles on the blog. Instead, each review should be a short summary of my thoughts on the book, what I enjoyed about it, any criticisms, and whether or not I would recommend/who I think would enjoy it. I hope you enjoy this section and find some good recommendations.
